The purpose of the role will be to provide Business and Technical guidance in relation to Life/policy financial/system Accounting Expertise; provide accounting expertise within IFRS and UK Gaap regulations; and to support and understand business change needs, assessing the impact of those changes, capturing, analysing and documenting requirements with relevant parties. Responsibilities
•To maintain and develop a sound knowledge of the Life & Pensions Services business and the effect of the requested changes.
•To represent and work with business owners and delivery work streams to develop and lead development of optimal solutions
•To develop complete and accurate business models
•Accountable for all deliverables within assigned Functional Modules
•Work with delivery work streams to communicate business objectives and requirements, make decisions on delivery options and produce delivery efforts and timescales.
•Undertake quality reviews and validation of key artefacts,
•Define accurate, meaningful and measurable business cases. This includes input to definition of efforts and benefit realisation.
•Work with business owners to define acceptance criteria.
•Production and input to Project Initiation Documents defining high-level scope.
•Produce Business requirements documents describing the project's objectives, how the work was done and listing the requirements for each business area prioritised into mandatory, desirable and optional categories.
Skills, knowledge and experience required
•ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified or IMC/IAQ or relevant experience
•Effective Interviewing skills and listening skills
•The ability to critically evaluate and validate information gathered from multiple sources.
•Life & Pension or Financial Services experience
•Relevant Business Analyst Qualifications or equivalent experience
