£32,000 - £38,000 + benefits and bonus


PROFILE


Reporting to a Commercial Manager, the Commercial Account Manager will be primarily responsible for managing the commercial and business response to new business opportunities, including request for quotations (RFQs) and requests for information (RFIs)


The Commercial Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all proposals and quotations are developed, assessed, approved and submitted in accordance with business policies, governance and procedures. The role includes managing various stakeholders across the business, engaging directly with the Business Development department and developing and delivering information to the management team for approval as applicable.



KEY DELIVERABLES


* Receiving and reviewing RFQ/RFI packages and disseminating applicable commercial relating information including Terms and Conditions pricing annexes, legal compliance and business related commercial information.
* Supporting the RFQ response through the bid response process to ensure that all deliverables are managed and produced to the required standard and content
* Working directly with the Commercial and Legal teams to review and respond to proposed Terms and Conditions in accordance with business practice and risk profiles.
* Working directly with the Estimating department internal stakeholders to understand, assess and challenge costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
* Lead in producing a competitive price submission in conjunction with Business Development and internal financial return expectations.
* Conduct negotiations to manage successful outcomes including the necessary formulation and testing of commercial positions.
* Ensure that all project related risks are identified and assessed, costed and/or mitigated as appropriate
* Supporting the internal gate review and governance process to ensure all information is reviewed and approved accordingly
* Take responsibility for producing bid submission documents as applicable including reviewed terms and conditions, pricing annexes, key assumptions/exclusions etc
* Support and lead where necessary contract negotiations with potential customers
* Support the business approval of new contracts and the handover/dissemination of obligations and responsibilities to the project execution team.



KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES



* Commercial related experience as operating within a business winning role essential.
* Experience operating within an Aerospace, Aviation, Defence or manufacturing environment.
* Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills and ability to work with people at all levels within and outside the business.
* Experience in terms and conditions analysis, review and negotiation is essential
* Strong finance and pricing exposure including understanding of different pricing models/techniques, financial tools such as profit and loss, cash flow and NPV analysis
* Strong MS Excel knowledge
* Strong level of commercial acumen, including contract negotiation, management and compliance.
