Ambridge Harris is currently recruiting for Senior Buyer on behalf of a major Wiltshire based Food Manufacturing Business. Reporting into the Site Director the successful applicant will be responsible for: -
• The sole final accountability for the sourcing and procurement of a range of food raw material products, packaging items and in directs, such as utilities etc.
• Managing all existing supply base issues plus be actively involved in sourcing new sources of supply when appropriate
• Heavy involvement in New Product Development projects.
• Development and implementation of a new purchasing strategy with robust KPIs to ensure delivery of targets and service levels.
It is critical that you have strong skills in cross-functional working within the business team as well as having exposure of working within a food manufacturing environment. CIPS qualification would be desirable rather than necessary.
